The Weather Outside is Frightful...

It has been cold today, started out the day alternating between a light rain and misting and progressed to pretty heavy snowfall.  Needless to say, I have been staying inside today and working away at my various projects...stitching and hooking the day away...

I finished the roadrunner embroidery and started another that you see in the hoop.  I will have to press these and get better photos when the light is better and the weather nicer in a day or two...

After the rain changed to snow, I was just plain cold and decided to crochet for a while as it is nice and warm under an in progress afghan...I got to the point where I was beginning the border on the afghan for my little Rosie Posie.  You can see the start down where the purple crochet hook is sticking out (the afghan is in blues and purples below).

Then it was time to take the kids to the Wednesday night youth program at our church...and the afghan is too large to bring along, so I switched to a prayer shawl  in teals and golds that I have been working on.  During the two hours at church, I managed to get that project to the final border as well...

So here I sit, with two projects ever so close to completion, can't decide which to work on, and so I am apparently blogging about it instead. *Grin* I suppose I ought to get off this machine and pick a hook and get going so that I can show you all a finished something...

As an aside, and to delay further...

While the weather outside might be frightful, the area around my favorite chair may be more so...

Those embroideries are resting on top of my chair, down to the left side is where you can see my crocheting...you don't even want to see the little table to the right of my chair (well, the more curious might want to see and I could be persuaded via comments requesting pictures if you are, indeed, interested) where I can presently count five projects on the (tatting) shuttles without even digging...and that's just what is visible in my present location in the house.  I am afraid I am a serial crafter, thread junkie extraordinaire, and WIP creator of epic proportions.  Not one UFO though, they are all in progress...really!

  1. Of course we want to see the table. :) I tend to have a lot of WIPs or UFOs. I'm not sure which to call them. I get distracted with new projects and it can sometimes take me a long time to get back to finish some of them. It is very rare though for me to abandon a project.

I like the crochet afghans too. YOu are right, they are warm as you do them.
